Common questions
How much does a website cost?
£1,200 for Starter, £2,200 for Business (where most small businesses land), and £3,500+ for Pro or e-commerce. That's a one-off project fee for the build itself. After launch there's a care plan from £25 a month covering hosting, security updates, small content tweaks and a direct line to me. No minimum term, no hidden fees.
How long does it take to build a website?
Most projects go live in two to four weeks. The Starter package is usually around two weeks; Business and E-commerce builds three to four. You see progress as the build happens, not all in one final reveal.
What if I don’t like the design?
I'll show you a free design concept of your homepage before you commit to anything. No payment, no obligation. If it isn't right, we can iterate or you can walk away. Once you're happy and the build starts, revisions are included throughout.
Do you only work with businesses in Hertford?
No. I'm based in Hertford and happy to meet in person if you're nearby, but most projects are delivered remotely. I work with businesses across Hertfordshire and the rest of the UK, and have built sites for clients in other countries too.
I don’t know much about AI. Can you still help?
Yes, that's most of my AI consulting work. Start with the £750 AI Discovery workshop. It's a two-hour session where I look at your day-to-day tasks and find which ones can be automated or done faster with AI. You leave with a written report and a clear next step. No prior AI knowledge required.
What happens after the website launches?
The care plan covers hosting, security updates, small content tweaks and a direct line to me. I don't disappear after delivery. If something needs fixing, you message me and I sort it. There's no minimum term. If it stops being worth it, you cancel.
Why not just get a £299 website?
You can, and for some businesses that's genuinely the right call. A £299 site is a template someone else already designed, filled in with your details. If that's all you need, don't spend more. What I do is different: a site drawn from scratch for your business, that won't look like anyone else's, built on modern tech and tuned to load fast and rank well. That takes real design and build time, and the price reflects those hours rather than a theme licence. It's still a fraction of what a Hertford studio charges for the same thing.
